Sports Carnival

Sports Carnival

Last Friday, my school had its' very first Sports Carnival. Thanks to Mr. Tan, our school principal, who made this first ever sports carnival very extraordinary. There were games stall and food stalls. I was very excited on that day.

On that morning, when I reached the school hall, I saw many students did not bring their school bags. They carried only their story book and wallet. I sat down to read my story book until it was time to sing the national anthem and the school song. After that, we had some exercises followed by cup games taught by three primary six pupils.

Our recess was extended to one hour. During recess, I had to guide a pupil from Chao Yang Primary School, our neighbouring school. I accompanied an Indian boy to the Parade Square to play some games. We also went to the canteen to have some refreshment. Next, we played the bouncy slide together and I also accompanied him to the school eco-garden to explore more about nature.

At the eco-garden, I realized more and more Chao Yang pupils had been following me. I was like a tour guide to them! I explained to them what were the names of the different types of plants there and the organisms that could be found in the eco-garden and in the pond.
I felt very happy that I was able to show them around and did my part to guide them and brought some joy and sunshine to them.

I hope the school would have more of this type of activity. I look forward to next year's Sport Carnival.
